| Advantages Reddi-Wall has over other ICF systems: |
- Reddi-Wall has an internal drainage system. Should water get past the membrane, it will be caught by the channel system and be directed toward the drain system. There are both vertical and horizontal drainage boards installed.
- A patented steel vertical track system allows drywall to meet 600-pound test. The track is not made of plastic and can not melt. Drywall is attached to steel and the steel is attached to concrete.
- There are available horizontal drywall attachment strips. Most other brands do not provide this option.
- Post and beam construction accommodates concrete shrinkage without allowing concrete to crack. Other systems provide no expansion provision.
- With this product there are no sharp corners to cause stress concentrations that usually produce cracks.
- There are no flat ties between opposite panels that act as a control joint to produce cracks.
- The system is designed to withstand earthquakes. This flexible design allows movement without destruction.
- Reddi-Wall ICF block has a UL 2 hour fire rating and there is a UL 5 hour structural fire rating.
- One-piece construction prevents movement. With other products panel movement is a major problem, which results in wall shifting and hour-glassing. The very little bracing that Reddi-Wall requires is mostly for safety.
- Reddi-Wall has a patented wall assembly panel system. This wall is very easy and fast to erect. A typical modular basement usually requires less than 3 hours to erect with a 3-man-crew.
- There is a top and bottom track system. This prevents movement and holds walls secure. It also protects tabs for multiple pours.
- This system requires no parts assembly. It comes in a pre-assembled unit which saves a lot of time.
- Ridged assembly requires almost no alignment and fits every time without adjustment. It is a great time saver and also requires less bracing.
- There are built-in electrical chases. There is also no need to cut up wall to install electrical equipment. Wire can be added later without destroying the drywall.
- All blocks are USA made in Michigan and are in 1-foot increments. There is no need to use the metric system.
- Wall assemblies can be ordered with window frames, door frames, electric and water membrane installed. This allows for fast and accurate installation.
- Reddi-Wall is a truss wall system. A truss is always stronger than a poured solid because the forces are prevented from concentrating at one point as all solid walls do. This also cuts down on concrete use by as much as half.
- They system complies with code requirements by providing a 5” brick ledge: 4” for the brick ledge plus air space.
- There is a drainage system to remove water from behind the brick, exclusive to the Reddi-Wall system and there is a 2” frost cushion at the brick ledge that exceeds the required 1 ½”.
- There is a built-in measurement system on the block in 1” increments. It is also marked for drywall attachments, & includes horizontal corner aluminum siding attachment strips.
- Like no other system, Reddi-Wall has no flat sides. This is a Reddi-Wall patented manufacturing process.
- Reddi-Wall has received several recognitions for quality and achievements in energy and health related issues.
- In independent tests, Reddi-Wall exhibited the highest bursting strength by a large margin.
- The block is universal. There is no top or bottom, no right or left corner. It is a patented universal feature. Also, the top of the wall can be easily trimmed to meet exact height requirements.
- Internal braces keep the walls very straight.
- The drywall mounting strips are 5/8” back from the surface. There is BTU loss on other blocks where the drywall comes in direct contact with anchor strips. This causes moisture build-up on the back of the drywall.
- There is built-in radon venting for the entire structure.
- Finally, the price of Reddi-Wall is less than all other brands we know of!
